Information about Finnfacts’ online service
The online service www.finnfacts.fi is aimed at Finnfacts’ customers, partners and stakeholder representatives. On the website you will find information about media tours and an extranet service relating to the visits. If you cannot find the service you are looking for, please contact us.
There is no charge for using Finnfacts’ online service. The extranet will require user IDs and logging on. The user IDs can be obtained from the web editor-in-chief. Please read the description of file for the information that will be gathered when you use the service.
The online service can be obtained in the following languages: Finnish, English, French, German, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Japanese. You can change the language by clicking on the lower pull-down menu at the top of the page or the text link at the bottom.
Finnfacts’ online service is implemented by means of the eZ Publish open source content management enterprise system. The construction and functioning of the system are the responsibility of Exove Oy. The layout and user interface have been designed by Pekka Nikrus, an employee of Oy Gyllene Skor Ab.
Find the content you want
At the top of Finnfacts’ online service is the main menu of services and products, from which the front pages of each section open out. You will find the content pages for these via the headline links on the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the page. At the top of each content page a breadcrumb trail is formed, which tells you which part of the service you are in. You can also use the breadcrumb trail to move within the service. You can look for the content via the main menu, page map or search function. You will find the extranet on the upper right hand corner of the front page. You can order our newsletter by clicking at the bottom of each page.
The links in Finnfacts’ online service open out into a new browser window when the information is located in the online service of some other organization. The service’s internal links open out in the same window. The online service is designed to operate with all common browsers. The functioning of the service has been tested on Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3.
If necessary, you can down download Adobe Reader free of charge in order to look at and print out PDF files. If necessary, you can download the OpenOffice program free of charge in order to look at and save Microsoft Office files.
Using the service
The user is under an obligation to use the service in accordance with public decency and with respect for the law. The user is responsible in the full amount for all financial damages caused to service providers, other service users and third parties by use of the service that is illegal or contrary to public decency.
Finnfacts will not hand forward information from users to an outsider. Finnfacts is entitled to use the information for its operations in the manner mentioned in the description of file.
Finnfacts’ online service can be linked freely to other non-commercial online services, and links with the online services of partners are made on the principle of reciprocity. Finnfacts is not responsible for the content or operation of these linked online services.
Finnfacts offers no guarantee that the material in the online pages is suited to a certain use nor will it be responsible for possible damage caused by use of the information included in the pages. The content and information in the online service cannot be used for taking any legal action against Finnfacts.
Copyrights
The ownership of Finnfacts’ online service and copyright © and all other immaterial rights belong to Finnfacts (Copyright Act 404/1961). The copyrights of materials produced by users and immaterial rights will be divided according to how each extranet user registered to the service has given rights to their own material.
The graphics, logos and images in the online service cannot be used without the written permission of the copyright holders. Content texts and material may be used if the source of information is mentioned at the same time.
Finnfacts retains the right to change the content of the online service or restrict access to it at any time. Finnfacts offers no guarantee that use of the pages will be flawless or uninterrupted, nor will it be responsible for possible direct or indirect damage caused to the user by the use of the pages. Finnfacts has the right to withdraw the user ID of a registered person using the Finnfacts’ extranet with all its content from the system without due cause.
